GAS HYDRATES OF THE BLACK SEA – POTENTIAL SOURCE OF ENERGY (ANALYTICAL OVERVIEW)
The article gives an analytical review of the current state of gas hydrate research abroad and directly in the Black Sea. It is shown that within the deep-water part of the Black Sea, there are necessary conditions for the accumulation of gas hydrates. Of special interest is the continental slope of the northwestern shelf of the Black Sea, where seismic signs of the presence of gas hydrate accumulations were discovered.
Keywords: gas hydrates, Black Sea, migration, deposit.
