Abstract: A hybrid photovoltaic wind with a battery microgrid system that implements fuzzy logic control is designed and implemented. The proposed method uses the Mamdani method for fuzzification and the centre-of-gravity method for defuzzification in the fuzzy logic controller to harvest power under variable ambient and load conditions. Multi-objective control strategies achieve maximum output for photovoltaic and wind energy systems. The DC bus voltage is maintained by implementing a voltage control method using a bidirectional converter with a battery, and the current flow is controlled by an inverter control for the grid-side converter depending on the SOC of the battery and the photovoltaic current received. A phase-locked loop for frequency and phase synchronisation of the grid and an LCL filter to eliminate harmonics in the single-phase grid are also integrated into the microgrid system.
