Abstract

The UK riots 2011 was started in Tottenham, the north of London.  Many black people marched peacefully to Tottenham police station.  But from 20:30, people at the front od police station changed to rioters.  Rioters attacked police and stores.  Almost two-thirds of recorded riot offences were for burglay and criminal damage offences.  28 per cent of riot-related defendants were white ethnic group and 39 per cent of defendants were black group in London.  I wants to examine the spatial pattern of riots and the charcters of defendants in the riots 2011.
