This study is to identify how mediated effect of social withdrawal is related to the fact that juvenile delinquents who perceive their parents’ lack of affection toward them are aggravating their aggressive tendency. For the research, the panel survey having targeted at the 4th grade in elementary school in the beginning, reaching 1st grade in high school in 2016(7th year) is implemented by Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS, one of branches of Korean Youth Policy Institute, 1,979 panel survey cases out of 2,378, 399 ones dropped because of insufficient answers, are used and 291 cases who actually have experiences of involving delinquent behaviors are analyzed.
The research results show that the lack of parental affection to the children increases their aggression and social withdrawal, and those two variables mutually interact as well.
And also social withdrawal as a mediated effect has a secondary impact on lack of parental affection and children’s aggression. Based on the research results, further research on various sub domains of each variable and their influences is suggested to do practical involvements and following researches including an order to attend probation lectures legally imposed on juvenile delinquents and increasing mandatory parent education as well.

본 연구는 비행청소년이 경험한 부모의 애정결핍이 공격성에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 위축의 매개효과를 확인하기 위하여 한국청소년정책연구원의 ‘한국 아동･청소년패 널조사(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey: KCYPS)’의 초등학교 4학년 패널 조사 중 7차년도(2016년) 자료로 조사 시점에 고등학교 1학년을 대상으로 한 자료를 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 사용된 패널 조사 사례 건수는 전체 조사대상 2,378명 중 응답이 부실한 사례를 제외한 1,979명 중 비행 경험이 있는 청소년 291명을 분석의 대상으로 사용하였다.
연구결과를 살펴보면 먼저 변수간의 직접적 영향력을 살펴본 결과 부모의 애정결핍은 자녀의 공격성과 사회적 위축을 더 높이는 것으로 나타났으며, 사회적 위축 또한 공격성을 높이는 요인으로 작용하였다.
그리고 매개효과로서 사회적 위축은 부모의 애정결핍과 자녀의 공력성에 대하여 간접효과를 가지는 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 현재 법적으로 비행청소년들에게 부과되는 보호관찰의 수강명령 처분에 더하여 사안에 따라 부과되는 의무적인 부모교육의 강화를 포함한 실천적 개입과 후속연구를 위하여 각 변수의 다양한 하위영역에 대한 영향력에 대한 연구 등의 제언이 이루어졌다.
