The effects of educational models based on experiential learning in Medical Education: an international literature review

Published July 22, 2014

Abstract

In the scientific literature there are numerous articles concerning the testing of new models of experiential learning in Medical Education. The experiential learning, indeed, is used as a method of training in continuing education in medicine and in many university courses that are intended for doctors, nurses and other health professionals. We, therefore, designed a literature review to evaluate the existing evidence about the effects of educational models based on experiential learning in university education and continuing training of health and care professionals.
