Abstract:
Reinforcing steel area may be reduced due to corrosion or mechanical damage. Moment-curvature relationships are obtained for reinforced concrete beams using the developed algorithm. The analysis is based on stress-strain curves for materials (steel and concrete). The developed iterative numerical procedure is demonstrated on a typical concrete bridge T-beam. Moment-curvature relationships are obtained for various degrees of reinforcing steel area loss.
