Abstract:
Reports on tests carried out on high-strength concrete made with a water-cementitious ratio of 0.27. The test results indicate that the two-phase composite models used to predict Ec, and the relationship between E'c and f'c, recommended by some codes, are no longer appropriate. The study illustrates how the concrete elastic properties vary at high strengths.
