La perspectiva de género en la filosofía

Abstract

Desde los años setenta los estudios de las mujeres (women´s studies) han ido dejando cada vez más claro que la variable sexo/género no se puede obviar en ningún estudio riguroso. Lo que se ha venido a llamar «perspectiva feminista » incide precisamente en la necesidad de incluir esa variable en cualquier aproximación teórica que pretenda explicar y/o cuestionar la realidad. En este artículo analizaremos las consecuencias de la irrupción de la perspectiva feminista en el ámbito de la filosofía. Nuestro interés será especialmente ver la trayectoria del feminismo como cuestionamiento del pensamiento filosófico, y los marcos de reconstrucción que ofrece para pensar lo no pensado por la filosofía ortodoxa.

Ever since the 70s women’s studies have made it increasingly and patently clear that the variable gender/sex cannot be left aside in any serious research. What has been coined «the feminist perspective» has as its origin the awareness that this variable must necessarily be included in any theoretical construct that may attempt to explain and/or question reality. This article analyses the consequences of the influence of the feminist perspective in philosophical circles. Our main interests herein are to examine how the irruption of feminism has questioned philosophical thought and to examine the framework of reconstruction that it can offer us when thinking through what has not been thought through by orthodox philosophy.
