Effect of OspE, FhbA, and Tuf (each 50 µg/ml) in elimination of C3b by FH (8–85 µg/ml) and factor I (15 µg/ml). Cleavage of the α′-chain of 125I-C3b was measured by evaluating the intensity of the α′-chain in autoradiography (example gel from one out of three experiments shown in panel A with mobility of the C3b fragments and size markers indicated) and intensity in the absence of FH was set as 100% (panel B).
