(A) topo3α−/− shows a minor growth defect. Wild-type, topo3α−/+ and topo3α−/− cells were diluted to 10,000 cells/ml and cells were counted after two days of incubation. This was repeated twice. (B) and (C) topo3α−/− is sensitive to phleomycin and HU. Cells were treated with the indicated concentrations of phleomycin (B) or HU (C) and single cells were distributed into 96-well plates. Percent viability was determined by normalizing to untreated samples. The same strains used in Figure 2A were analyzed in these experiments.
