Safety aspects of atmospheric pressure helium plasma jet operation on skin: In vivo study on mouse skin

Fig 1

Microscope images of the direct and indirect skin damage caused by plasma jet treatment.

Images were taken under stereomicroscope at 3 h and 48 h post-treatment. The direct and indirect damage can be observed under visible light (VIS). FITC labelled dextran was observed under RGB conditions and was ascribed as an indicator of direct skin damage. Yellow circles represent the direct skin damage; the indirect damage is labelled in blue. Scale bar: 5 mm.
