Population turnover distribution.

Turnover distribution inside the ego networks of the entire population for both (I1, I2) and (I2, I3). The average of the Jaccard similarity coefficient is 〈J〉 = 0.257, showing that on average there is an high turnover between ego networks in two consecutive intervals. The lower the Jaccard index, the higher the turnover. The estimated probability density function of the sample is computed using a non-parametric Gaussian kernel density estimator that employs Scott’s rule of thumb for bandwidth selection.
