After treatment for 4 h (A) or 24 h (B), the cells were analysed by flow cytometry as described in Materials and methods. In each plot, the indication for watch quadrant is as follow: lower left: viable cells (annexin- PI-); lower right: early apoptotic cells (annexin+ PI-); upper right: late apoptotic cells (annexin+ PI+); upper left: necrotic cells (annexin- PI+). (B) The percentage of apoptotic cells after treatment for 4 h (C) or 24 h (D) was determined by flow cytometry.
