Gene expression and protein levels in vivo.

Collagen I (A) and collagen II (B) gene expression levels over 3 months were determined using qRT-PCR, and western blotting was used to evaluate the collagen II, aggrecan, sox9 and collagen I protein levels in the regeneration area (C). The scaffold notably stimulated the expression of the cartilage-related markers, but not collagen I. ♦ Statistically significant difference compared with the control group (p<0.05); • Statistically significant difference compared with the control group (p<0.01); Statistically significant difference compared with the blank group (p<0.05).
