A) TatN12 is a representative of Tat exon-1 C variant. B) TatVT6 is a representative of Tat exon-1 B/C recombinant. Reference subtypes (A1, A2, B, C, D, F1, F2, G, H, J, K, N, O and CPZ) were used to genotype our variants using retroviruses genotype tool from NCBI. The yellow line represents subtype C and the blue line represents subtype B. The X-axis represents the percentage of sequence similarity to the corresponding subtypes and the Y-axis represents the amino acid position of variant sequence.
