Circulating Antibody and Memory B-Cell Responses to C. difficile Toxins A and B in Patients with C. difficile-Associated Diarrhoea, Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Cystic Fibrosis
Figure 7
Toxin A and B-specific ASC frequencies in patients with C. difficile-associated diarrhoea.
Peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 39 blood samples, collected at varying time intervals after onset of C. difficile-associated diarrhoea in 16 patients. A significantly higher proportion of toxin B-specific antibody secretory cells (than toxin A-specific antibody secretory cells) was detected [0.82 (0 - 4.93) % vs 0.33 (0 - 2.12) %; p<0.0001].
