Simulations are carried out using the mean values of the parameters in Table 1. Other parameters used are η = 0 d−1, δ = 0.01 d−1, d−1 and d−1. Here, egg production is expressed as the percentage of the total egg production in a month in the absence of BYDV. Mortality and new infection cases are expressed as the percentage of the total mortality and the total new infection cases in the absence of control, respectively.
