(a) mRNA from a mixed population of hermaphroditic (N2, AF16) and gonochoristic (EM464, CB5161) animals was extracted and daf-16 gene expression was quantified relative to the housekeeping gene gpd-3. Data represent the mean of three experiments, error bars show standard deviation.
