40GBaud Quasicoherent Receiver

Abstract

Quasicoherent receivers strike a complexity-performance tradeoff between fully digital coherent receivers and traditional direct detect receivers. We achieve PAM-2 40 GBaud signaling using a quasicoherent receiver by relying on full wave detection-based envelope detection.
