Abstract

We present an overview on requirements on a laser igniter for aerospace applications. A summary on the development history of the CTR HiPoLas ignition system is given and performance data of the latest generation including testing under harsh environmental conditions is shown. Preliminary performance data of a new amplifier design gaining pulse energies up to 60 mJ is presented.
