A monolithic cladding pumped holmium-doped fibre laser

Abstract

We present a single-mode, monolithic holmium-doped silica fibre laser resonantly pumped by thulium-doped fibre lasers through a fused fibre pump combiner. We report the highest achieved output power for a holmium laser of 407 W.
