Broadband polarization-insensitive arrayed waveguide gratings for Raman spectroscopy

Abstract

We present two arrayed waveguide gratings fabricated in silicon-oxynitride for near-infrared Raman spectroscopy. Our devices exhibit very low losses and polarization insensitivity over a large spectral range of 156 nm and 214 nm, respectively.
