We want to express our gratitude to the authors and peer reviewers who have contributed to Asian Perspectives. Their efforts have enriched the field of Asian and Pacific archaeology. Meanwhile, the journal has regained momentum in producing two issues per year and we are now publishing all issues within the year of publication date. We expect to keep building on this momentum and continue to seek high quality manuscripts in all related fields as contributions to our journal.

We encourage you to check two websites for the most updated information about the journal’s content, manuscript guidelines, and recent developments.

  1. 1. For new manuscripts and reviews, we have made a full transition into an online management system, now operating at asianperspectives.msubmit.net/With the new online submission system, the contact information for the editors at the journal has changed as well. Direct email to the Editors at apjaeds@hawaii.edu or to the journal’s Editorial Assistant at apjastf@hawaii.edu.

  2. 2. For all other aspects of the journal, see our website maintained by the University of Hawai‘i Press at www.uhpress.hawaii.edu/t-asian-perspectives.aspx

The latter site provides updated information about the advisory editorial board for the journal, contact information for the editors, subscription and advertising information, and contacts for copyrights and permissions, as well as links to Project MUSE.

We are happy to report that Asian Perspectives is part of a new University of Hawai‘i Press hosting partnership with Project MUSE, where the journal is available as an Open Access publication. This partnership will mean that individuals without institutional access to MUSE can now subscribe online, libraries can now subscribe directly to AP, and, with or without a subscription, interested readers can sign up for TOC alerts so they never miss an issue. The MUSE platform also features personalized options to share content, save citations, and discover related scholarship.

Currently we are working on revising our guidelines for authors, with particular focus on clarifying the bibliographic style and other style issues. Stay tuned for more updates on this in future issues and online at the journal website. [End Page 127]
