Abstract:
Frozen embryos have become an important component of fertility clinic care in the United States. This essay examines how fertility clinic professionals think, talk, and act toward cryopreserved embryos, centering on the ways in which the concept of kinship is activated or deactivated for different reasons by various personnel.
