Abstract

Questions about journal content and areas for improvement elicited a wide variety of comments from the 50 respondents who returned questionnaires, but we found no apparent consensus in these areas. Not surprisingly, the profession of the respondents correlated with how they use Biography, how they perceive the journal's quality, and which features they find most valuable. Following the remarks is a detailed compilation of 50 subscribers' responses to items on the questionnaire. Of special interest are lists of readers' "all-time favorite biographies" and "most valuable recent biographies."
