Abstract: The finite element model of incremental sheet forming process with male die supporting was established based on software ANSYS / LS-DYNA. The process for forming a vertical wall cylinder by parallel linear tool-path was successfully simulated and the feasibility of the simulation method was verified by experiments. Distribution of stress and strain, node movement condition and wall thickness variation of the vertical wall cylinder were obtained by post-processing. The results show that the wall thickness of the vertical wall cylinder formed by parallel linear tool-path is relatively uniform. The maximum equivalent stress and equivalent strain are generated near the opening of the cylinder.
