The Generating Mechanism,Value Embodiment and Path Reconstruction of the Water-Energy-Food Nexus in the Yellow River BasinChinese Full Text

Abstract: Water energy and food,as the survival resources for maintaining the social stability,are interrelated,interdependent,and mutually restricted. They are the guarantee of water security,energy security and food security and the important direction of the high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. Based on the analysis of the new understanding of the nexus between water,energy and food,combined with the new requirements of the ecological protection of the Yellow River basin and the high-quality development of national strategy construction,the paper explains the generating mechanism of the“water-energy-food”nexus and its value and significance in promoting the conservation and the intensive use of water resources in the Yellow River Basin,exploring a new high-quality development path with regional characteristics,as well as helping to build a new development pattern of dual circulation. Finally,this paper proposes a green development goal based on“adaptability,integrity,efficiency,stability and safety”and reconstructs a path for the safe and synergistic development of the nexus of“water-energy-food”in the Yellow River Basin from a higher standard and level through improving the capacity to resist natural disasters,the ecological carrying capacity,the comprehensive production capacity,the market competitiveness,and the environmental risk warning and preventing ability of the nexus of“water-energy-food”in Yellow River Basin.
