Influence of middle temperature aging on precipitation of S31254 super austenitic stainless steelChinese Full Text

Abstract: Precipitated phase of super austenitic stainless steel S31254 after aging treatment was investigated by metallographic microscope,scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. The results show that when aged at 850 ℃,there are lots of second phases precipitated in the super austenitic stainless steel S31254. The precipitated phases are some kinds of intermetallic compounds which are mainly rich in Cr and Mo,but low Ni content,and the main phase is σ phase. The shape of those phases is mainly blocky and acicular.The precipitates are mainly nucleated at the grain boundary and grain interior,and part of them can form at twin boundary. When aged at 850 ℃for 7. 5-120 min,the grains of precipitation phase grow gradually and the amount increases with aging time increasing. And Cr or Mo content in precipitation phase increase,but Ni content decreases. The Cr2 N and Chi phases are precipitated during aging at 850 ℃ for 120 min.
