Effect of annealing treatment on microstructure and properties of cold rolled aluminum /steel composite plateChinese Full Text

Abstract: 4A60 aluminum alloy /08 Al steel plate was fabricated through the process of "cold rolling + flatting + annealing ". The microstructure was observed by using metallurgical microscope and scanning electron microscope,and the mechanical properties were characterized through micro-hardness test,tensile test and cup drawing test. The results show that the microstructure of 08 Al steel is fiberlike distributed along the rolling direction. 08 Al steel is completely recrystallized with annealing at 520 ℃ for 24 h and without Fe2Al5 along the interface between Al and steel. The plasticity increases while the strength and the hardness decrease which meets the service requirements. It is identified that the optimum heat treatment process for the composite plate is annealing at 520 ℃ for 24 h.
