Abstract: Microstructure, morphology and distribution of nano-sized precipitates in Ti micro-alloyed steel isothermal coiling at different temperatures were investigated by means of scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The results show that the yield strength and tensile strength enhance with the reduce of coiling temperature, while the elongation reduces.Grain boundary strengthening and precipitation strengthening make the most important role for the total yield strength, and the strength contributed by precipitation strengthening can be over 200 MPa when the steel is isothermally treated at 600 ℃ for 1 h.There are a large number of nano-sized TiC particles on ferrite matrix which are the main reason of precipitation strengthening.
