The Rescue Robot Contest does not only heighten young people's interest in creative activities, but also provides a chance to consider importance and difficulty of disaster prevention and reduction through the robot competition. In order to develop this concept further, a robot competition dealing with disaster rescue by humanoid robots was proposed in 2009. In this paper, we discuss the design of the second competition held at Osaka Electro-Communication University on November 7, 2010 and the result.
