Fabrication and Applications of Biocompatible Graphene Oxide and Graphene

Biocompatibility is the prerequisite to apply graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) to biological and biomedical areas. This chapter discusses the fabrication of biocompatible GO and RGO through noncovalent or covalent functionalization with biocompatible molecules. Potential bioapplications of biocompatible GO and RGO are also briey discussed.
