Effect of confining pressure and degree of saturation on damping ratios of sand

The Spectral Ratio Method (SRM) works by comparing the amplitude of signals obtained from two general cases. The aim of this method is to eliminate all the similarities between the two cases and attribute the difference in signal amplitude to the discrepancy in condition (Toksoz, 1979). Material damping ratio can be obtained from two different scenarios.
