ABSTRACT
The high polymeric carbohydrates in the cell walls, beside cellulose and pectin, are called hemicelluloses. The hydrolysates of the hemicellulosic wall fraction contain glucose, xylose, mannose, galactose, arabinose, fucose, glucuronic acid, and mannuronic acid, in various amounts or traces [1].
