Curved Surfaces and Blasius Series

Because of the importance of the boundary-layer problem and its relative simplicity, people have sought “general” solutions to the boundary-layer problem. We shall consider only one illustrative example, the Blasius series for a symmetric, two-dimensional flow past a cylindrical surface with a rounded nose.
