ABSTRACT

The main occupation of Indian villagers is agriculture. Since the dawn of agriculture, many mechanical and chemical advances have been made to improve yields and help farmers tackle problems such as agriculture and crop diseases. Plant diseases, pest epidemics, weed pressure, and nutrient deficiencies are some of the biggest challenges farmers face on a daily basis, everywhere, on every commodity and farm scale. Farmers need to be informed at the right time that such challenges exist on their farms. Detection of plant diseases is the key to avoiding loss of yield and quantity of agricultural products. Traditional methods are reliable but require human resources to farm and identify plant diseases. Our agribot project saves manpower and time by automatically harvesting crops, detecting plant diseases and taking the right actions by spraying the right pesticides. This robot allows farmers to reduce their environmental impact and manage individual crops in novel ways.
