ABSTRACT

A functional disorder is a medical condition that impairs the normal functioning of bodily processes rather than affecting the structure of body parts and remains largely undetected under examination, dissection, or even under a microscope. A functional disorder is widely increasing day-by-day in worldwide, and the treatment on that is somewhat helpful, but with some adverse effects and is expensive for poor people. Hence, cost-effective and risk-free management treatments are necessary for functional disease. To resolve this problem, we use functional foods that alter one or more functions in the body with minimum or no risk. Functional food provides us with good nutrition and supplements. It is cost-effective and readily available; we add it to our regular daily diet. In this chapter, we recognized different types of functional food which helpful for the different types of functional diseases.
