ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we mainly focus on the discussion on the various 2D materials and their photodetection applications. Section 8.1 briefly introduces the 2D materials and their polarized light detection. Section 8.2 introduces the basic properties and synthetic strategies of 2D materials including growth mechanisms, preparation conditions and typical examples, which will be useful for the design and optimization of the optoelectronic device. Section 8.3 describes several working principles of photodetectors. Section 8.4 discusses the detection of polarized light and recent progress in high-performance 2D material-based photodetectors. Finally, Section 8.5 presents a summary and shares our perspective for the future research direction.
