ABSTRACT
Historical and cultural tourism is one of the main directions of the tourism industry. Determining the role and share of historical and cultural tourism in the development of general tourism, that is, its potential, is one of the main areas of research of representatives of the tourism business and scientists in this field. While many studies focus on the historical and cultural monuments, infrastructure, and geographical location of the country as a potential for historical and cultural tourism, this research on the development of historical and cultural tourism in Uzbekistan offers a new approach to determining the tourist potential of countries to study the largest groups of incoming tourists by country on the basis of a survey and come on this basis jakda compatible focuses on the assessment of the capacity of tourists in the country and compatible as the tourism potential tourists. In economic approaches, the potential is mainly analyzed on the basis of supply factors, whereas in this approach the need to pay special attention to demand factors is put forward. A mathematical formula for assessing the historical and cultural tourism potential is also proposed. This chapter provides the necessary conclusions on the development of historical and cultural tourism in the country.
