ABSTRACT

Through two field examples, the authors present several results on artificial recharge basins, based on state of the art informations describing site procedures, experiments carried out and numerical approaches. A very precise monitoring of infiltration capacity has been set up to optimize recharge cycles. With other analysis, it allowed to assess the role of algae in clogging processes and removal of nutrients. Seasonal variations of clogging and of quality changes in an artificial recharge system are discussed.
