ABSTRACT

Comprehensively use statistical methods and numerical models to study the long-term (next 48 hours) and highly accurate automatic forecast technology of tide-bound water level and real-time dynamic report technology of water level in ports and waterways (the forecast error of tide-bound duration is less than 20 minutes and the forecast error of tide-bound water level is less than 20cm) and combine with the draft data of vessels to study the tide-bound water level forecast system so that the automatic operation of the system can be achieved. In addition, the system can effectively save ships the trouble of stranding caused by significantly water level falling arising from meteorological factors. With the change of climate, the frequency of the occurrence of extreme water level rising and falling events on the sea is on the rise, and the economic, social benefits can be analyzed by making accurate prediction of the water level of port and channel.
