Abstract: As an indispensable means of publicity in the field of health and family planning, news report has built a bridge between the media, the public and the health and family planning departments. Based on the news reports issued by provincial health and family planning departments from 2015 to 2017, this study quantitatively and qualitatively analyzes the characteristics, trends and changes of public opinions presented via various media on issues of health and family planning. The study results highlight measures and strategies for the improvement in publicity of health and family planning-related issues.
