A case is made for considering spins of delocalized electrons in organic molecules to serve as qubits in quantum information processors. We show that such a paradigm can meet most of the requirements for constructing a quantum computer with present-day technology, while the remaining requirements will probably need further advances in instrumentation and nanofabrication. In spite of some daunting technological hurdles, there is enough promise in this approach to pursue it seriously.
