The cathode‐ray efficiency of a variety of phosphors has been studied, including 
, 
, 
, and oxide hosts activated with Eu3+, Tb3+ , and other rare earths. In addition to the basic measurement of efficiency at 10 kV, the voltage dependence was measured over the range 0.2–20 kV and analyzed following Gergely.
