Dung beetles visiting cattle dung according to dung-age (0 to 7 days) were surveyed from May to November. IVlany species of dung beetles prefered the dung in the pasture to that in the forest. Such species as Caccobius suzukii, however, was distinctly the forest species. In the pasture most species of dung beetles visited the dung of one-day-age, while in the forest they showed a tendency to visit more aged dung except Liatongus phanaeoides and Onthophagus nitidus.
