Abstract

An equivalent circuit of an interdigital transducer is derived from the coupling-of-modes equations considering propagation loss and resistivity of finger electrodes. The features of the circuit are discussed, focusing on the expression of the two loss mechanisms. As an example of calculations of device characteristics using the circuit derived, the frequency responses of insertion loss of a surface acoustic wave (SAW) resonator-coupled filter are shown with electrode resistivity as a parameter.
