Evidence doesn’t support home care visits for over 65s

The benefit of home care visits for people aged over 65 years is unproved, a large review of the literature has concluded.

Researchers from University College London and the University of Oxford found no consistent evidence to show that home care visits led to elderly people living longer or having more independent lives than those not receiving this form of support.
