The fundamental modes of a symmetrical planar metamaterial waveguide

Abstract

The dispersion properties of the fundamental (lower order) surface wave modes of a symmetrical planar metamaterial waveguide are considered. A qualitative graphical method is applied to analyze the dispersion characteristics of the waveguide modes.
