Abstract
A new method of quantitative determination of color using an original photodevice is presented for marine sediments, which are a specific geological object. The advantages of the photodevice over the main color-measured tool (colorimeter) are shown for the example of numerous sedimentary columns from the Pacific and Arctic oceans.
