Extraction of biologically active substances from sapropels with liquid and supercritical carbon dioxide

  • Published:
Russian Journal of Physical Chemistry B Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

The prospects of using liquid and supercritical carbon dioxide for extracting biologically active substances (BASs) from sapropels are examined. The chemical composition of extracts was studied by high-performance liquid chromatography. Varying the parameters of extraction (temperature, pressure, and time) allows adjusting the total extract yield and the degree of extraction of various BASs.
